According to Dr. William Damon, child psychologist and
author of The Path to Purpose: Helping Our Children Find
Their Calling in Life, our school system is set up to
churn out adults minimally confident about a lot of
things, but not expertly passionate about anything. He
says that’s because most schools are dreary places,
unconnected to the communities they sit in or the
children they serve.
Children
end up having no clue why they need to take tests or learn things, and lose one
of the strongest keys there are to success – motivation. So Dr. Damon studied
highly successful children to find out what motivated them and how they were
different. And in this audio, you’ll hear what he found in his study, and the
simple ways you can help your children find their path to purpose.
