IT'S
THE
SECOND BIGGEST INVESTMENT YOU’LL
EVER MAKE AND 48% OF THE TIME YOU’LL
LOSE ALL OF YOUR MONEY!
Dear
parent or student of ANY KIND . . .
Whether
you're a business professional, marketing expert, coach or even a parent of a
freshman in high
school, a graduating senior in college, or anyone in-between, your most significant stumbling blocks are
almost always mental.
The
exciting thing is that the mental skills necessary to overcome these
problems and become a champion at whatever you choose is easy to
understand.
But,"
cautions Dr. Gilbert, "you have to know how to practice them.
This is
what Rob calls the mental practice, and it's why serious students of all
ages and in all classes need a head coach.":
Your most
significant financial investment in life is your house.
The second
biggest investment is a higher education
And here’s
the dirty little secret no one ever tells you about college . . .
only 52%
of the students who start ever graduate.
Today,
some schools are charging $50,000-$70,000 per year.
WHAT
A TRAGEDY! TO
INVEST ALL THAT
TIME AND MONEY AND
NOT
COME
AWAY WITH A DEGREE.
My
name is Dr. Rob
Gilbert and I’ve been in college since September, 1964.
That’s over 50 years.
First, I was an undergraduate student.
T
hen a graduate student.
And for the last 37 years I’ve been a
professor at Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Along the way, I
was in charge of a residence hall, directed orientation programs and
worked as a wrestling coach.
Now I’m a
professor.
Over the years,
I’ve helped thousands of students overcome just about every
problem and obstacle so that they could get their degrees.
I
know every
aspect of college life.
As
a professor,
I’ve been teaching students, BUT . . .
I’ve
Also Been
Studying Students.
I’ve
discovered exactly what students should not
do and
exactly what they must
do
to enjoy massive success in
high school and college.
What I offer also will work for just about any form of education and for
any age.
It matters NOT weather you are going for a bachelors degree, a doctorate
and even if you are trying to learn a new business or skill.
I’ve teamed up
with Michael Senoff and together we’ve produced a complete 80 segment audio
training program titled . . .“A
Perfect Score.” The Complete Student High School and College Prep
Training Course.
This program is not
some boring classroom lecture.
Michael (who is one of the
world’s
greatest interviewers) put me under the gun and he pinned me down to
get every student success strategy and every test-taking and study secret out of
my 70-year young brain.
In addition, to my
teaching,
I’ve been a motivational speaker for over 30 years so we published this course with
entertaining stories, anecdotes, games and humor.
Our job is to instructand
inspire
you, your son or your daughter
to graduate with honors!
If
you, your son or
daughter is in high school or going to college (or if they’re
already in
college or a working professional)
this is the learning success system they'll never get anywhere else.
This just
may
be the most important course they ever take.
Among the things,
you’ll learn on A PERFECT SCORE
are...
* How to learning anything twice as fast and
remember it forever.
* Why advanced learning is not grade 13.
* Why
what works in high school may not work as well in college.

1. Here’s How to Have the Hidden Advantage
in High School, College, and Beyond
A lumberyard hires a
group of mostly high school students to chop wood over the summer, and
announces one day they’re going to give the person who chops the most
wood an additional $250 cash.
As soon as the whistle blows,
they all start chopping like madmen, except for the one old guy in the
group who strolls over to a cabin and takes a 15-minute break every hour
before he does anything. The younger guys laugh because they know at
least they’ve got that guy beat. The next day, when the winner is
announced… and it’s the old guy, everyone bombards him with questions,
wanting to know how he did it when he spent a fourth of every hour
taking a nap. He said, “Oh, I wasn’t taking a nap. I was sharpening my
ax.”
The people graduating summa cum
laude aren’t the smartest in school. And the people who get the jobs
aren’t the best qualified. These people just know the most about getting
good grades and getting jobs. They know when and how to sharpen their
ax. And in this course you’ll hear the techniques that will give you
that kind of hidden advantage over everyone else, straight from a
professor who sees it every day, Rob Gilbert PhD.
You’ll also
hear…
A 10-second
demonstration that shows the real truth about the “little voice”
inside your head (it doesn’t always have your best interests at
heart) – here’s how to control it
A shocking
confession from Rob about his own freshman year that proves “your
past isn’t your future” – no matter where you are right now, you can
succeed
A quick look at
the kinds of goals you should set for yourself during this course
because you can achieve more than you think, and you have more
resources to help you too
The two
different kinds of experiences in life -- (inexpensive experience
and expensive experience), what that means, and the simple, but
effective, equation to keep in mind while you listen to this course
that will put everything in perspective
If you’ve ever watched the opening ceremonies of the
Olympics when all the athletes come out, you’ve probably noticed just
how different everyone is – in shape, size, nationality, gender, and
what sport they compete in. But they all have one thing in common. Every
single one of those top athletes has a coach, someone to show them the
hidden advantages in their sport. No one succeeds on their own. And in
this audio, you’ll hear how to find your hidden advantage too.
2. The Secret Road To High
School
And College Success: How To Be The World's Greatest Note
Taker
Right now, Rob Gilbert is a professor of
sports psychology who takes notes wherever he goes, but he remembers
back when he was a sophomore in college and didn’t think taking
notes or studying was worth it. That all changed when he took Organic
Chemistry, a class he knew he needed to get an A or B in if he wanted
to get into medical school.
But, rather than take notes, Rob decided
he’d just sit in on another organic chemistry class so he could
get the same information twice. He thought that by absorbing and
reinforcing the information in that way, he’d get the grade he
needed without ever having to crack open a notebook.
He failed the class, but he learned a huge
lesson. It’s not enough to just show up. He says if you want to
graduate, you have to take notes in class. And if your goal is to
graduate with honors, you’ve got to take great notes by being
actively engaged with the information.
But it’s not as hard as it sounds. The trick is to know what
information from your class is important and to find ways to make
learning it fun so your brain is engaged and entertained in the
process.
And in this lesson, you’ll hear how
to do that with note-taking strategies that show the secret road to
success is usually found in your notebook.
You’ll also hear…
The clues professors give that help you
differentiate when they’re saying something “pretty
important” that will be on the next test, “especially
important” that will be on the final, and the really, really
important stuff that you need to know in order to pass the class
A simple system for labeling your notes
so you separate all the important stuff using colors and symbols that
make it fun for your brain while also cutting your study time in half
The real reason experts say you should
review your notes within the first 24 hours after you’ve taken
them
Why Rob says you have to “treat
your notebook like your passport” and Rob’s go-to favorite
notebook with a hard outer shell and numbered pages (like it was made
for over-achievers)
The brain teaser 50% of all Harvard
students get wrong – that shows just how fixated the brain can
get on wrong information
Why Rob says you can have all the
information in the world in your notebook but if you don’t access
it and retain it, it’ll mean nothing – here’s a
strategy that’ll help you do that
Rob says if he offered someone $1,000 to
teach the material from his class to the one after theirs, they’d
likely end up with some pretty detailed notes from his lecture.
Those are the kinds of notes you should
always be taking, and the level of understanding you should be shooting
for. But it’s easier than you think to get there, and in this
audio you’ll hear the strategies that make it painless.
The
Bad News: You Need A Great
Memory To Succeed In School
And The Good News Is: You Already Have One
Even though it may seem like other people
have a natural gift for remembering things and a better memory than you
do, they don’t. Remembering information is a skill that you can
improve through training. And by developing this skill, you’ll be
giving yourself a huge advantage over other students no matter what
your major. So in this memory training section, you’ll learn the
exercises and strategies that will help you do that.
Even though Rob is a successful professor
now, he flunked out of college when he first started it. Obviously, he
went back and finished, ending with a PhD and a nomination for
Outstanding Alumnus from the same university he originally flunked out
of. But he says the only difference between the “failing
Rob” and the succeeding one was that he learned how to train and
strengthen his memory. And in module one, you’ll hear all about
the strategies he used to do that.
You’ll also hear…
The one simple formula for memory
you’ll be using with every strategy that explains it all
The most accurate way to get information
fast on most subjects… that’s surprisingly not Google
The importance of having a
“mentor” during high school and college – so their
hindsight becomes your foresight (and ideas for finding the right one
for you)
5. Module Two: How To Use Stories To
Remember More
Believe it or not, you already have the
ability to remember 29 random digits in three minutes, or the 13
original colonies, or the periodic table – you just need a
strategy for doing it. And in this module, Rob shows you how to do this
with stories. Studies show people remember stories more because they
resonate and stick in the brain. But the trick is to make them unusual
and different – to the point of being ridiculous. And in this
audio, you’ll hear examples of how stories can help you learn
complex information in very little time.
You’ll also hear...
Three quick exercises to try today that
will train your brain to remember information about Mt. Fuji, random
digits, and the 13 original colonies in seconds
Why it’s so important to link
stories to real-life experiences, and examples of how to do that
The four things to add to your stories
that will make them more memorable
Two great books on memory to check out
that will strengthen these lessons even more
6. Module Three: A Strategy For
Remembering
Lists Fast: Using
Place-Numbers
And Hooks
If you want a way to remember a list
quickly and easily, one of the best techniques is to use hooks.
Here’s an example. Think of a place you know very well, like your
home. Create a “first spot” to use for things you want to
remember (example: your front door) and so on (your second spot could
be the couch by the front door). Now, set this familiar list to memory.
These spots will be the hooks your brain is going to use to remember
things. You’ll then hook the information you want to remember
onto the spots you’ve set up. For example, if you want to
remember a list that includes milk and frozen bread, you could picture
opening the front door and having a huge tsunami of milk knocking you
onto your sofa, but your sofa isn’t your sofa anymore, it’s
turned into a giant loaf of frozen bread
And in this module, you’ll hear
more about using places your brain easily identifies with so you can
hook information to them. Just like with stories, the information is
linked in ridiculous ways because brains usually notice and remember
the unusual stuff in life.
You’ll also hear . . .
A little-known fact: most of the lists
teachers want you to remember are already available online with a way
for remembering them done for you too, but here’s how to hook
them and make them a little more personal so your brain remembers them
easier
The almost magical way songs can help
you remember lists and information, and where to go to find ones
already done for you
The real reason writing something over
and over again doesn’t usually work for remembering stuff, and
what does
7. Module Four: Strengthening Recall
And
Remembering Things Long Term
Wouldn’t
it be nice to remember things from a class three years ago, instead of
scratching your head and saying, “I think I used to know
that?” You can. But you have to get rid of the common
misconception that the brain fills to capacity so it naturally needs to
“forget stuff” in order to remember new
information. Rob
says that doesn’t happen. Studies show the brain can hold 10
million volumes of books with 10,000 pages each. However, the brain can
hit a point of fatigue when you’re learning, and
that’s
usually why people have a hard time recalling information. So in this
module, you’ll hear techniques that will help lessen brain
fatigue so you can bring things up when you want to.
You’ll also
hear…
The
one
mistake almost every high school and college student makes when it
comes to taking tests (because brains just don’t function
right
if you do this) and the three things you can do before a test that will
help you recall information fast
The
ACME way
of remembering things long term (Action, Color, Me, Exaggerate) and how
to use those to jolt your brain into remembering more
What
it means
to go from “unconscious competent” to
“conscious
competent” when it comes to learning – and how to
do that
8. Module
Five: The
Simple Exercises That Boost Memory
One of
the greatest things
we have in life is our memory. But like most areas, if we’re
not
constantly strengthening it, it’ll get soft. So
it’s
important to exercise your memory and make it the strongest it can be.
Fortunately, one of the quickest ways to do that might also be the
easiest. Rob says there’s a huge difference between hearing
and
listening in life, and just recognizing when you’re not
actively
engaged in information will boost your memory right away. And in this
audio, you’ll hear how, along with other tips and exercises
to
try.
You’ll also hear…
If
you want a
better memory, Rob says, try changing the second thing you do in the
morning (the first is usually going to the bathroom, the second should
always be this)
The
one thing
you can do tonight (that takes almost no effort) that will improve your
memory tomorrow

your memory today help with Alzheimer’s when you get older? A

Mnemaonic devices nd hooks to improve and exercise memory
9. Module
Six: Finding
Strategies That Work For You
One of
the students Rob worked with was a very tall kid on the basketball team
at his college. On the first day of one of his classes, his professor
looked out at the class and said, “If there are any athletes
who
think they’re going to get a free ride because
they’re on
the basketball team, they’re wrong.” It was very
obvious

Pills And Hidden Advantages
If
you’re looking for a magic pill that will give you a massive
advantage in school, having a good memory is it. You’ll be
able
to maximize your time better, giving you more free time and fun, while
also helping you get at least a grade better than you would have
otherwise. And in this module, you’ll hear all about it.

when it comes to
your future, don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Set your bar
high, and don’t just say to yourself, “I hope I get
through
this.” Attitude is a huge part of learning, and your brain
can
either be like Teflon or like Velcro. In other words, you can have
things roll right off your brain or you can have them stick. And in
this module, you’ll hear how to keep your dreams in sight as
you
go through high school and college, and how to make things stick for
the long run.

12. The 10 Most-Common Myths About High
School And College
You
Won’t Believe Aren’t
Actually True
If
you think high school or
college is going to be a difficult journey that only the smartest (or
most athletic) kids can get through without problems, you’re
wrong. Rob says there’s actually no part of school you
can’t handle – no difficult classes, or professors,
or
majors. School is only time consuming. If you put in the time,
you’ll get the results you need. And in this audio,
you’ll
hear all about the common misconceptions like that one that most people
have about high school and college, along with the truth that will not
only get you on the right path but will also help you start off with a
mindset for success.

The
Movies, Books, And Audios That
Are So Fun You Won’t Believe They Actually Prepare You For
Success
Having
friends, faking confidence when you’re just not feeling it,
getting into your dream school or landing your dream job –
these
are all skills you won’t learn in a classroom. But that
doesn’t mean they’re not critical for success in
high
school, college, and beyond. So in this audio, you’ll hear
three
separate lists (books, audios, and movies) that will get you into the
mindset for success with the extra skills you need for the long term.

audio, you’ll hear all about it.
14. The
Master Skill For
Better Grades And A Better Social Life:
Listening (And
How To Improve It)
If
you want to get better grades
and have more friends, listen up… literally. In other words,
hearing isn’t enough. Hearing is just detecting sound
vibrations.
Listening is paying attention and knowing what’s being said.
It’s the one success skill that can make an instant
difference,
but it’s also the one we never think about training.
So
in this section, you’ll
hear strategies for training your listening skills so you get the most
out of even the most boring of classes. But as it turns out, listening
is also key to having a great social life too.
14.1 Part
One: The Secret To Getting More Done In Less
Time
Your
mind can only be in one of
three places at a time – the past, the future, or the
present.
Listening is the active, “present” form of hearing.
So,
just keeping your mind focused and in the present is essential for
success. But it can also be pretty hard to do if you’re not
interested in the class or the material.
So
in Part One, you’ll hear
tips and tricks for snapping your brain back to the present, so you can
retain more information and get more done in less time.
You’ll also
hear…
The single
little-used technique that instantly improves listening:
“clearing your plate” – most anxiety is
about the
future, most guilt is about the past – clear your plate and
you’ll be able to be in the present fast and easily,
here’s
how

demonstrates the amount of concentration necessary to effectively
listen – (it’s usually not the subject that
matters,
it’s how we respond to the subject)
Tricks for
“faking it” when it comes to listening –
your mind
won’t know the difference
14.2 Part Two: The
Secret To Getting People To Like You More
When
it comes to charisma and
having friends, here’s the secret most people don’t
know
about: people don’t like you because you’re
interesting.
People like you because you’re interested. Nodding, smiling,
asking for others’ opinions – these are all ways to
show
you’re listening and interested.
And
they instantly make you a more
likeable person with your peers, your professors, and your future
employers. And in Part Two, you’ll hear the simple tricks in
life
that show you’re worth getting to know.
You’ll also hear…
An almost-unknown way to add an
instant gleam to your eye when you’re talking to someone that
will make you look even more interested

empathy and sympathy (once you learn the difference, you’ll
understand why empathy makes you a more relatable person)
The “pure magic”
effect that showing you’re listening has on an interview, and
the
one thing you need to do to show it
When
you’re in high school and college, listening is your job.
Nothing
turns an average student into a great student faster than that. This
means you need to take listening seriously so that information sticks
– you can’t be talking to the person next to you or
texting
when you need to be listening. It’s hard work, but this audio
section will help you do it.
15. These Kids Will Do
Anything To Learn A Skill: What It Means
To Have The “Rage To Master”
Some kids are so driven to learn a skill
or a sport, they get their parents to do some pretty extreme things so
they can achieve their goals. One kid convinced his dad to close up his
real estate business in Northern California and move south because he
wanted to train with the Southern Californian kids who were beating him
in swim meets. Another made his family drive into New York (from New
Jersey) every day so he could take jiu-jitsu lessons. And in this brief
audio, find out what the “rage to master” phenomenon is
like, what to take from it, and who these famous kids are now.
Rob once got a call from a
former student thanking him for helping him get a Rhodes Scholarship.
Rob knew this kid had barely made it to Stanford for football, so he
asked him how he did it. He told Rob that he sat down one day and wrote
out all the things that made him a good athlete. His list included
things like: he would go to football early and stay late, he paid
attention and took notes, he asked questions if something
wasn’t
clear, he never missed a practice.
He then decided to
see what would happen if he applied all those things to his academic
classes. He ended up going on to Oxford then Yale, and now
he’s
the mayor of Newark. All it takes to succeed is desire and the right
strategies.
And in this audio, you’ll hear a pop quiz that will help you
look
at things in a whole new light and realize you already have what it
takes to go for the best in life too.
You’ll also
hear…

isn’t to be “thought-provoking;”
it’s to be
change-provoking. We want you to send an email that says you went to
med school or onto your dream job partly because of these audios. And
in this section, you’ll hear a pop quiz that will help you
know
it’s never the wall that stops you in life. It’s
how you
approach the wall.
17. Why You Should Never
Settle For The Gold In Life
Here’s
how the story goes: A boy in ancient Persia watched in amazement as a
magician’s glowing finger turned things into gold. So he
stayed
after the act to meet the guy. When the magician saw the boy, he
smiled. “I know what you want.” The
magician’s finger
lit to a bright orange as he changed a rock into gold and handed it to
the boy. But the boy shook his head and pointed. “No. I want
the
magic finger.” Getting the end result will never be as
powerful
as knowing how you got there. Knowledge is what you come to high school
and college for. But sometimes we make “getting the
A” our
main focus.
So
in this audio, you’ll hear the most common ways we lose
focus,
jeopardize our own future, and lose sight of our main goals –
and
how to stay on track.

college student can make, and how to avoid it
Rob
says if you’re only problem is laziness, that’s
actually a
good thing. You can cure that in a second. The fire alarm goes off and
everyone is running – you probably won’t feel too
lazy to
follow them. Laziness is an easy cure, but it’s one you have
to
think about. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about it and
the
other ways we lose focus – along with the strategies that
will
help you stay the course
18. The
Weird Way Your Brain Can Get In The Way
Of Your Success (And
How To Stop It)
Believe
it or not, one of the biggest problems jeopardizing success is usually
one we don’t think about at all. It’s when we
assume
things. Although this seems harmless, it’s actually a natural
tendency for the brain to fixate on what it believes is the right way,
or the right answer. And it’s harder than you think to know
when
this is happening and how to stop it.
So
in this audio, you’ll hear simple brain teasers that
demonstrate
just how easy it can be to focus on wrong information and let
assumptions trip you up, along with some strategies on how to stop your
brain from doing it, so you can change things around fast.
You’ll also hear…
Examples of why it’s
absolutely vital to follow directions (especially on tests) and the one
thing you should do for every one of them that will make sure
you’re not assuming anything

your brain and make you realize just how easy it is to get things wrong
– and how to retrain your brain to think about information
differently
The simple way magicians trick
our brains in this similar assumption way so we don’t notice
what’s really going on
It’s
only human nature to fixate on something when you think you know the
right answer. But if you keep doing what you’ve always done,
you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.
That’s why
it’s important to have simple strategies in place to stop
yourself in case you start assuming the path you’re on is the
right one. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about them.
19. Insider Secrets On
How To Ace Tests (Straight From A
Professor Who Makes Them)
As a professor, Rob says most
students don’t realize just how hard it is for teachers to make tests.
Professors are human. They take shortcuts. They rely on patterns. Just
like their students, they sometimes wait until the last minute to do
something…
So in this audio, you’ll hear tips
and tricks about how tests are usually made that could give you an edge
when you’re sitting in front of a question you don’t know on a test. But
you’ll also hear strategies for preparing beforehand because the biggest
thing you can do to ace a test happens long before you start taking it.
It’s not enough to be a “good chess
player” and expect to win championships. You have to be able to play
back the information you’ve absorbed when the stakes are high and you’re
under pressure. And in this audio, you’ll hear how.
You’ll also hear…
* The shocking reason a convicted
crack dealer made our Good Student Hall of Fame (Hint: It shows your
past doesn’t predict your future – and it’s never too late to create
goals and be successful)
* The one thing to tell your next
study group to do that could turn it into a test-prep machine (this
works for multiple choice and essay test prep)
* 15 words to look for on

to guess
* The magic phrase to say to

* Your step-by-step game plan for
tackling multiple choice tests that work for small quizzes and up to the
big ones like SATs and GREs
* How to eliminate answers (based
on the way professors make up their tests) so you’re never just taking a
stab in the dark – even on questions where you have no clue
* Steps to take ahead of time that
helps with nerves before a big test
* The one word you should never use
to describe your test or assignment – because it’ll make you even more
nervous – and what to say to yourself instead
You would probably think it was
ridiculous if you heard a great athlete started training the night
before a big event. But that’s the way most people look at a school.
If you just start studying the
night before a test, you may pass; you may even do really well, but
eventually it’s going to catch up with you.
That’s not the way great students
study. Just by changing up your study habits a little bit, you can do
better than most the other students in your class (because everyone else
is cramming).
And in this audio, you’ll hear a
whole game plan that’ll help you master every test – from your smallest
quizzes to the big college-entrance exams.
In
Rob’s
class, he likes to bring someone up and have them jump as high as they
possibly can. And to make sure he gets it right, he has them make a
mark on the whiteboard with a marker as they’re jumping.
It’s as high as they can go. Then, he puts a $20bill three
inches higher than that mark and tells the person if they can reach it
with the marker, they can have the money. He’s never had a
student not be able to reach it. You have hidden reserves. And you can
always achieve more than you think you can.
Rob says this demonstration always works because the first time someone
jumps, they’re doing it without a specific goal in mind.
There’s a huge amount of power in setting specific goals. And
in
this audio, you’ll hear how to set them, and how to use your
hidden reserves to reach them every time.

“I can’t” and start saying “I
can’t… yet.” Have faith in your own
abilities, learn
the power of setting goals in your life, and know you have the hidden

21. Need
MoJoVation?
Here’s A Way To Find It In 15 Minutes Or Less
We
all have those
times in life where we just don’t feel like doing something
we
know we need to do – like studying or going to the gym.
Here’s a way to find motivation fast when one of those times
comes up. It’s called the 15-minute rule, and it’s
pretty
simple.
Tell yourself you’re only going to do something for 15
minutes,
and if you still don’t feel like doing it, you can quit.
But what usually happens is just the opposite. Fifteen minutes
isn’t long, but it’s long enough to see
it’s not so
bad and it’s worth it. You’ll likely say,
“Wow.
I’ve made it this far in only 15 minutes. I can do 15
more.”
And in this audio, you’ll hear all about the technique, why
it
works, when to use it, and how.
You’ll

This method works to melt
resistance because 15 minutes isn’t long. Anyone can do
almost
anything for 15 minutes, but that’s also usually all it takes
to
get going and regain your momentum. And in this quick audio,
you’ll hear all about it.
If you want to be a
successful student, that’s easy. All you have to do is find
out
what the most successful students are doing, and do it too. Or, you can
find out what the most unsuccessful students usually look like, and
make sure you never come close. Here’s that list. The 10
rules

Of course, this list is
tongue-and-cheek, but when you hear it, you might be surprised at where
you can fail sometimes.
And this quick audio will not only
help you recognize those times, but will also help you prepare for them.
23. Take
Control Of Your Anxiety By Learning The “Magic
Skills” For
Dealing With Stress
School can be stressful –
exams, speeches, essays, failures… Everyone feels it, and it
can
seem pretty overwhelming at times. But the good news is there are
techniques that work to reduce anxiety, and you don’t need
pills
to do it. You just need skills.
Rob says it’s all in the way you talk to yourself. Some
people do
their best when the pressure is on. Some people do their worst. So
pressure in and of itself can’t be the problem.
It’s the
way you react to pressure. You are the one stressing you out. Once you
know you have control over this, you can begin taking back that control
with the techniques in this audio.
You’ll
also hear…
The
fastest known way to stress reduction
(The Stress Reduction Pyramid): Can five words and one gigantic
triangle really change the way you deal with stress forever?

you can
use it to reduce stress fast
The
little-known book you can read in about 5
minutes that will help with stress by teaching you how to stay in the
present
At the end of every football game, there
are usually only three crucial plays that mattered. They determined the
outcome of the entire game. But here’s the thing –
no one
knows at the beginning of the game what those three plays are going to
be.
That’s why you have to treat each play the same. What seems
important at the time may not turn out to be very important in the
scope of your life. You can take control and choose how you react to
stress. And in this audio, you’ll hear how.
With the pressure of classes, tests,
and grades bouncing around in your head, it’s no wonder many
students find they have a hard time sleeping. The natural tendency is
to jump on FaceBook or watch TV when that happens, but you’ve
probably found those things only make falling asleep harder because now
your brain is even more engaged and entertained.
Rob says you pretty much have to bore yourself to sleep. And in this
audio, you’ll hear three techniques that will help speed that
process along.
You’ll
also hear…
How
to use the power of suggestion to fall
asleep and a quick exercise to try in real-time along with Rob that
demonstrates how it all works (You might be surprised by what you write
down)
A
5-step process for boring yourself to sleep
that Rob says is the easiest and fastest way he’s found to do
it
A
weird (but effective) way to use your least
interesting professor’s lectures to fall asleep whenever you
need
to (except during their class)
A
sneaky psychological technique that tricks
the brain using the laws of recently and frequency into remembering
more stuff (with less work) that you can use for your next exam
When it comes to falling asleep, you have
to allow yourself to relax. And while it may seem like jumping on the
computer or watching TV will do that, those activities actually make
you more awake. Fortunately, there are proven techniques that work. And
in this audio, you’ll hear all about them.
25. How To
Write The Kind
Of In-Class Essays That Blow Teachers
Away
If
you want to be seen as a superstar
student, you have to start building that reputation on day one. As soon
as you walk through the door and take a seat, you should already be
differentiating yourself from other students.
This includes things like showing up to class on time every day (even
if they don’t take attendance because they will still
notice),
sitting in the front row, and staying focused.
And when it comes to essay tests, there are certain things you can do
to differentiate yourself there as well. And in this audio,
you’ll here it all – from what test graders are
trained to
look for to what pen will make your blue book stand out most.
You’ll
also hear…
The
painful lesson Rob learned the hard way

to writing in-class essays – he actually had to read his
failing

to make it easier for your professors to read them, what to do if you

picture each finger as a different element)

real reason Rob says everyone needs to
take an extra minute to read the instructions twice (he cannot believe
how many students in his classes get points taken off their essay tests
because of something silly like these examples)
The
only way that works to organize your time
when it comes to timed-essay exams – you never want to
suddenly
look at the clock and have to scramble through your last essay.
Here’s how to make sure that never happens to you
The
one secret thing you can do ahead of time
to make your essays shine whether it’s an in-class essay or a
homework assignment (most kids will not think to do this and it makes
professors impressed… to the point of taking you aside and
asking you to be in their Master’s Program)
When it comes to being a superstar in
college, you don’t have to reinvent the light bulb. And you
won’t have to work any harder than anyone else. You just need
to
work smarter.
There are certain things you can do every day to prepare, stand out,
and make a good impression with your essays and your college career.
And in this audio, you’ll hear all about them.
26. How To Write
Out-Of-Class Essays That Make Teachers Sit Up And Take Notice
You’ve
probably never thought about
this, but teachers get bored reading the same essays on the same topics
they’ve handed out year after year. That’s why, if
you take
a fresh approach or you include something unusual in your bibliography,
you’re going to stand out. They suddenly have a reason to sit
up
and take notice. This is what you want to shoot for, and it’s
actually easier than you think.
Because professors read your bibliography closer than the rest of your
paper, the biggest difference between in-class essays and out-of-class
ones is going to be the intensity of your research.
But having an interesting bibliography isn’t hard –
it

27. The Hall Of
Fame Student That Shows There Are No Excuses
Jenny
Murphy was a student of Rob’s
who graduated with honors for both her undergraduate and Masters
degrees. What makes her story unique is that Jenny is legally blind,
which means she had to do a lot more than other students to achieve
those goals.
Her disability caused her to
have to
quit
studying in the evening because of eyestrain. It took her much longer
to read and write.
And in this quick audio,
you’ll hear
her amazing story, along with the take-away message that it’s
never the obstacles in life that hold you back. It almost always comes
down to how badly you want something.

get it. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about the Hall of
Fame
student who will help you understand that.
28. The Fastest
Known Way To Success: Work The Success Cycle
Rob
once had a student come to him for help
because he was failing chemistry. Rob didn’t know much about
chemistry, but he knew the guy needed to work harder at it.
So he gave him two things to
do: study
for 1-2 hours a night and leave a message on Rob’s voicemail
to
let him know he’d done it.
The guy started getting As and
Bs. He
started feeling better about himself and the way he looked at
chemistry. And now, he’s currently getting his PhD in
chemistry
because he wants to be a professor in the subject.
And in this audio,

29. The One
Skill Most New Graduates Don’t Have… And It’s The
One Necessary To Get Hired:
An
Introduction To Interviewing
A lot of time and prep work
goes into getting your degree: studying, memorizing, selecting classes,
and getting the grades. Then, you graduate and realize no one has
prepared you for the one thing that’ll get you hired – your
first big interview. That’s where this next section on
interviewing comes in. This section will make sure you know exactly how
to prepare ahead of time, so nothing is left to chance – from
what to say and how to say it to exactly what to wear. And in this
introduction, you’ll hear all about it.

When you go into an interview,
remember they’ve already accepted your grades, resume, and
experience. You’re at the same level as every other applicant.
The only thing you need to do to get the job at that point is
out-interview them. And in this section on interviewing, you’ll
hear exactly how to do that.

30. The One Thing That
Matters Most in An Interview: Attitude
When a company is interviewing, they’re
not looking for someone who already knows everything. They know they
have to train “the new guy.” They’re looking for
someone who will fit in and have a good attitude. And in this audio,
you’ll hear examples of what that means and how to show it in a
job interview.

The vital importance of
having “emotional range” in an interview – what that
means and examples of it
Companies hire for attitude
and train for skills. When you go in for a job interview, you’re
pretty much on the same level as all the other applicants. That’s
why it’s so important to stand out, in a good way. Attitude is
your first step. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about it.
The first few minutes of any interview are
basically the same. The person interviewing you will decide in those
minutes whether or not they like you. Clear and simple. The remaining
time is spent confirming that decision. If they like you, they look for
reasons why they like you. If they don’t, they look for reasons
to confirm that.
Rob says his job is to make sure when you leave your interview, the
interviewer says, “Wow. That person was great.” But in
order to get there, it’s important to look at the reasons people
don’t get hired. And in this quick audio, you’ll hear all
about the recent survey that tells you exactly that.

or not they like you.
And in this audio,
you’ll hear all the ways you can make sure you’re not
eliminated during that time.
32. The One Thing You Should
Never Do in An Interview (Be Late)
You might as well wear a
shirt that says, "I’m incompetent"
When it comes to
interviewing, you have to start off strong, and that means as soon as
you walk through the doors. Plan to check in exactly 15 minutes before
your interview. If you get there any earlier, that’s great. But wait in
the parking lot until exactly 15 minutes before your interview. And in
this quick audio, you’ll hear the importance of this time frame, along
with two stories that illustrate how being on time can instantly make or
break an interview.

dedication
Rob says he still feels
stressed when he has to go in for any kind of interview or speaking
engagement, so he always arrives early to get comfortable. Walking
through the door 15 minutes early not only helps you calm down and
prepare, but it’s also the time the office expects you to check in. And
in this audio, you’ll hear all about how important it is.
When it comes to picking out
what to wear for your interview, remember one thing: how you dress shows
respect for the company. That’s why sloppy, unshaven, or even dressing
casually instantly puts you in a different light than your competition.
But Rob says you can never go wrong with a suit. And in this audio,
you’ll hear why, along with all the other things you should make sure
you pay attention to when it comes to appearance.
You’ll also hear…

to wear (from jewelry and aftershave to shoes)
Rob says even if it’s casual Friday when you go into
interview, it’s not casual Friday for you. They are looking for reasons
to weed applicants out of the process, so don’t let something easy, like
a wrinkled shirt or a pair of jeans, be that reason. And in this audio,
you’ll hear the tips and tricks that will make sure that doesn’t happen
to you.
34. A Little-Known Fact About Interviews: Every First Impression
Counts
As soon as you walk through the
doors of the office, your interview process begins, but it doesn’t just
begin with the person you’re meeting for the interview. It includes
everyone you meet in that building along the way. From the janitors to
the secretaries, if you come in contact with them, make sure it’s a good
one. And in this quick audio, you’ll hear exactly why that’s so
important and some simple things to keep in mind so you always make a
good impression.
You’ll also hear…

interview – and how to make sure you don’t

Your interview is not just about skills. It’s
about how you’ll fit in with a company. And you never know when the boss
might come back to someone you’ve met along the way to ask what they
thought of you. So in this quick audio, you’ll hear all about how
something as simple as being nice can give you an edge.
35. Simple Steps For Dealing With Anxiety
In An Interview: (Being Nervous Is Actually A Good Thing)
When it comes to
interviewing, it’s okay to be nervous. They expect it. In fact, it’s
really only inappropriate to try to be "cool." You don’t want to come
across as totally confident, like you’d be doing them the favor if they
hired you. You want to come across as humble. So being nervous can be a
natural way of showing that you care and are taking the job interview
seriously. And in this quick audio, you’ll hear all about how to quit
being nervous about being nervous.
You’ll also hear…
Exactly what you can
learn about nerves and interviewing from PhD students going in for
their Oral Defense of their Dissertation
The one thing you can
do to take the sting out of anxiety fast (if you find you’re just
too nervous or overwhelmed to go on)
Rob says no matter how
nervous you feel, don’t mention it in your interview. They already know
most applicants are nervous, and mentioning it probably won’t make you
feel any better. But there are some things you can do, and in this
audio, you’ll hear all about them.
36.
An (Almost Sneaky) Psychological Technique That Will Create Instant
Rapport In An Interview
As a professor, Rob notices
that the students he has the most rapport with will subconsciously mimic
his behavior in class. If he folds his arms or leans back, they will
too. It’s just human nature to copy the mannerisms of the people you
feel a good connection to. But, you can also do this mechanically during
an interview to create instant rapport, and in this audio, you’ll hear
how.

connection to. But you don’t have to go overboard with it for it to be
effective. And in this quick audio, you’ll hear exactly how.
37. A Quick Trick for
Maintaining Proper Eye Contact
You’ve probably heard you
need to have good eye contact in a job interview. But what exactly does
that mean? And how do you do it without looking like you’re staring? In
this quick audio, you’ll hear a trick that will help you relax and
maintain "proper eye contact," and the best part it is -- you can use it
in all your interactions, and no one will ever know. They’ll just think
you’re a good listener.
You’ll also hear…
Examples of what not to
do when it comes to eye contact
Two goals to remember
that will help you maintain good eye contact every time
When you’re feeling
nervous, eye contact is one area that can go wrong quickly. But it won’t
if you follow this technique. The interviewer will feel like you’re
naturally paying attention. And in this audio, you’ll hear how.
38. The Two Things To Remember When
Answering Interview Questions
It can be pretty easy to
get carried away when you’re nervous in an interview, so you might not
realize you’re rambling on. That’s why it’s a good idea to remember
these two things: answer their questions in a comment not a speech, and
always be positive. And in this audio, you’ll hear the power of both of
those things, along with how to do them.
You’ll also hear…

Obstacle May Be Attitude). And in this audio, you’ll hear how to make
sure you’re answering questions the way they expect you to.
39. The 4 Biggest Mistakes You Can Make
In An Interview
Rob knows a college kid who
answered an ad in the paper one summer, only to have the receptionist
say, "Don’t bother. We’ve got wall-to-wall applicants and the boss is
only hiring a few…" The kid hung up then started to think of a plan. He
called back, got the address, and got the job – even though the place
was packed and his chances weren’t good.
And in this audio, you’ll
hear exactly what he did to stand out. And what he didn’t do. Rob says
when it comes to interviewing, there are four big mistakes you want to
avoid. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about them and the ways to
stand out that actually work.
You’ll also hear…

biggest myths in interviewing: the interview examples and stories
you use have to be drawn from personal experience. (This can

without sounding like a kiss-up
When it comes to
interviewing, the bottom line is – people want to hire people who are
most like them. And in this audio, you’ll hear how avoiding the four
biggest mistakes will help you do that.
We’ve all heard the saying, “Be
yourself.” This does not apply to a job interview. Interviewing is not
the time to say, “Well, I don’t really like wearing a suit” or “I’m not
really the type of person who makes eye contact or smiles a lot…”
This is the time to be who they
expect you to be. And in this audio, you’ll hear why that’s so
important, what they generally expect, and how to fake it without
seeming fake.
You’ll also hear…

when it’s most important not to be yourself – and what to do instead

incorporate the homework you did about the company into this idea
for even more powerful results
Rob says once you get hired,
then it’s okay to be yourself. But in an interview, you need to give
them what they expect. And in this audio, you’ll hear how.
41. The Red Flags Every Interviewer Looks For
And How To Avoid Them
Remember, during an interview,
the interviewer isn’t looking for reasons why you’re so great. They’re
looking for red flags so they can eliminate you from the competition.
And while you already know how to make sure you don’t get eliminated for
something silly like showing up late in shorts and flip flops, there are
certain things you should never discuss or do in an interview. And in
this audio, you’ll hear the top red flags and taboo subjects
interviewers look for and how to avoid them.
This is the time to be who they
expect you to be. And in this audio, you’ll hear why that’s so

seeming fake.

should never talk about during your interview from salary to
religion

The interview
process is usually a process of elimination, so don’t get eliminated for
something you can control like what you say or how you say it. And in
this audio, you’ll hear the red flags they’ll be looking for so that
doesn’t happen.
42. Ice Breakers And Casual Conversation:
What To Say And What To Avoid
Rob was once called in for
an interview with a magazine in New York where he was let into the
office early because the woman he was interviewing with was busy. While
waiting, he noticed a bunch of pictures of the woman with her dad –
hiking, fishing, having fun. And Rob thought, "How sweet. I’m going to
comment on those in the interview." So early on in the conversation, Rob
says, "Your dad’s in amazing shape for his age." The woman replied,
"That’s not my dad. That’s my boyfriend."
Needless to say, Rob didn’t
get the job. There are do’s and don’ts when it comes to the casual
conversations you make during a job interview. And in this section,
you’ll hear all about them.
You’ll also hear…
Does the interviewer really want you to comment
on the stuff in their office – like a huge mounted fish or their
bowling trophies? And if so, what’s the best way to do it
It’s important to
differentiate yourself in a job interview, and casual conversation is a
great way to do that, but like Rob’s example, it can also turn on you if
you’re not careful. And in this audio, you’ll hear tips for how to do it
the right way.
As soon as you sit down to
an interview, one of the first things you’ll probably hear is, "So, tell
me something about yourself." A lot of people think that means you need
to give a quick biography or a rundown of the resume you sent. It
actually means different things for different interviewers, so it’s
always a good idea to just ask. "What specifically would you like to
know?" If they leave it up to you to answer then start with the high
school or college you went to.
And in this audio, you’ll
hear more about the questions interviewers ask, and the specifics on how
to answer them.
You’ll also hear…
Why you absolutely must
be "reading" something relevant to your field and examples of what
those books should be
Exploding the myth that you're the
only one nervous in the room (hint: the interviewer is nervous too).
Here's why, and how to make everyone feel at ease
Rob says how you answer
questions is the most important part of interviewing because it’s going
to show what kind of person you are. But that doesn’t mean the
interviewer needs to know everything about you. And in this audio,
you’ll hear what to include, what not to include, and how to answer the
right way.
Why Should We Hire You? Do You Have Any Questions For Us?
Is There Anything Else You Want Us To Know?
Somewhere toward the end of the
interview, there are three “big questions” you’re likely to hear. Many
people think of them as the unimportant “wrap-up” questions. Don’t make
that mistake. It’s important to end on the best note possible, so have
something prepared. And in this audio, you’ll hear specific examples of
how to tackle those questions so you can do that.
You’ll also hear…
The vital importance of

it

interviewer – and the one question you can almost always throw in
there before anything else
The fastest known way to
blow an interview (winging it) – and how to make sure you’re as
prepared as possible
Interviews are pretty much the same. There are
certain questions that come up time and time again, so there’s no excuse
not to be ready for them, or hope that “maybe they won’t ask that.” They
will. Start strong and end stronger. And in this audio, you’ll hear the
answers that will help you do that.
45. The One Thing You Should Never Do
in An Interview:
Make The Company Feel “Lesser”
At some point in the interview
process, you might be taken on a tour of the company, and you might not
be impressed with everything you see. The offices could seem small, or
the equipment might be out of date. No matter what they show you or how
small the company is, never make them feel “lesser” about it. They want
to hire a person who likes their company, not someone who seems to be
putting them down. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about how
important this is and the one thing to remember that will make sure you
never do it.
You’ll also hear…
A little story of the
day when Rob went to tour Montclair State (the small college he now
teaches at) that illustrates this point: here’s the advice he was
given before he went, and how he used that advice to get the job
There will be up-and-coming companies, small
businesses, and small universities, but you never want to mention how
small they are to them. And in this audio, you’ll hear how to make sure
you never do.
Sometimes, you might be
asked to do a group interview, meaning you’ll be interviewed in the same
room with 4-5 other people in front of a committee. This can be
especially stressful because you and your competition will be competing
right in front of each other, side by side. But Rob says, the trick to
winning this kind of competition is not to treat it like a competition.
Instead, look at it like a
comedy club where you’re following a very funny comic. The audience
already loves that guy, so putting him down isn’t going to win you any
points. Compliment other people’s answers before you begin yours. In
other words, pretend you’re not in a competitive situation and you’re
happy everyone is doing well. It sounds counterintuitive, but in this
audio, you’ll hear exactly how it’s done.
You’ll also hear…

competitor's answer while you seque into you own response

The only thing you'll
never want to do after an applicant answers their question -- and
other key strategies for looking like a team player
Even though everyone knows
it’s a competition, the goal in a group interview is to show you’re a
team player who likes to see others do well too. And in this audio,
you’ll hear how to do that, even when you’re not really feeling it.
47. Yes, You Still Send a Thank-You Note After The Interview: Here’s Why
Everyone has heard the advice to
send a regular snail-mail thank-you card after an interview, but
nowadays, it seems a little old-fashioned or contrived. They know you’re
kissing up. You know it. But here’s the thing -- you still do it. And in
this audio, you’ll hear why this little gesture is so important, and how
to do it right.
You’ll also hear…
The easiest way to get
this done: It won’t take long if you follow Rob’s advice, plus the
interview will still be fresh in your mind
A
little story that illustrates how this gesture looks from the point
of view of the interviewer (Rob has sat on a lot of interview
committees) and how it can set you apart from the other applicants
Rob says if you promise yourself you’ll send a
thank-you card after an interview, it will never hurt you. In fact, it
will likely set you apart from the rest because not everyone does it
anymore. And in this section, you’ll hear all about it.
48. The Single Most Important Thing To Do
Before An Interview: (Practice, Practice, Practice)
And How To Do It
A short, one-hour job interview
could change your life. That’s why it’s so important to be prepared for
it. Rob says it’s a lot like acting. Actors know their lines forwards
and backwards so that when it comes time to say them, everything comes
out naturally like it’s the first time they’re saying them. They
research, prepare, and over-prepare for a performance that doesn’t seem
to last long. That’s the kind of practicing you need to shoot for, no
matter how good you are at winging it.
The goal is to make the
interview feel like a big conversation – so don’t forget to include the
interviewer. Check in and ask questions during the conversation. And in
this section, you’ll hear how to do that along with examples of the kind
of prep-work and practice to aim for.
You’ll also hear…

he blew them away with his prep-work. Here’s what to take from his

might not always get it – here are the “political” reasons why that

prep-work to aim for instead
When you’re called in for an
interview, it usually means they’ve accepted you on many levels – you’re
halfway there and you’ve got a shot. You just have to make sure no one
out-interviews you. But if you listen and re-listen to this interview
section and follow Rob’s advice, that won’t happen. And in this audio,
you’ll hear everything you need to help you get there.
If you think college is nothing
more than four years of classes you need to take to graduate, you’re not
really seeing the big picture. A few years from now, those classes
aren’t going to matter much. You probably won’t even remember them. Your
best experiences, best friends, and most important life skills are going
to be found during the times in between those classes.
That’s why Rob suggests you live
on campus the first two years of college – and get involved. But once
there, you’ll realize there are a lot of opportunities and choices to
make. From choosing a fraternity or a sorority to dealing with a
roommate from hell, you have more resources, options, and potential than
you probably realize. And in this audio, you’ll get a rundown of what
those things are and how to choose the ones that are right for you.

get involved. Internships, clubs, studying abroad, working on campus,

people that’ll be in your wedding party. These are the places you’ll
remember the most, have the most fun, and gain the skills you’ll take
with you the rest of your life. And in this audio, you’ll hear the
ultimate guide to making the most of it.
Thinking about a goal you want to
achieve when you’re pretty far from it can seem overwhelming, and kind
of deflating. Everyone knows the saying “A journey of a thousand miles
starts with one step,” but what is that step and how do you know where
to begin?
You can achieve whatever you want in

The Hall of Fame Student Who Shows What HOPE Really Is
When Brooke Ellison was in the 7th
grade, she was hit by a car and paralyzed from the neck down. She has to
breathe through a ventilator and can’t do anything on her own. But she
had a dream that she would someday go to Harvard, and she also had HOPE
(Hold On Possibilities Exist) that things would work out.
She was accepted. And with the help of her mom
who attended college with her, she was not only able to graduate from
Harvard, but she was able to graduate with honors. She even gave one of
the commencement speeches that year. And in this audio, you’ll hear her
amazing story and the lessons about HOPE you can take from it.

The biggest problem with
laziness is – it seems to be the default-drive in life and we don’t even
know it. When we tell ourselves things like "I just don’t have time to
study" or "I can’t learn the guitar because I don’t have a natural
ability for music," the truth is – we’re rationalizing laziness. We
could practice more. We could wake up earlier. Most times, laziness is
our biggest obstacle.
And in this audio, you’ll
hear how to know if you’re letting laziness take over, how to stop it
when you do, and the importance of being honest with yourself about it.

stop ourselves is by making excuses. That’s why the first step to
overcoming laziness is being honest with yourself about it. And in this
audio, you’ll learn how to recognize when you’re allowing your
default-drive to take over and how to stop yourself so you can achieve
your highest goals.

How to Condition Yourself To Be More Productive
A long time ago, circus trainers used
to tie baby elephants to very strong chains. The elephants couldn’t
break free from these chains no matter how hard they tried. So, after a
while, they stopped trying. Workers could then put flimsy ropes on the
elephants and they’d no longer try to escape. The elephants treated the
flimsy rope like a strong chain. This is how conditioning works. It can
happen for good or for bad, and unfortunately, most of us are
conditioned to think we’re lazy.
The
good news is – we can recognize when we’re doing this, recondition our
own laziness, and break free from our “chains.” And in this audio,
you’ll hear how.

The 8 Cures For Laziness That Will Keep You Motivated For The Long Run
When Rob
Leamer’s daughter needed a kidney transplant, Rob was the
only one in the family who matched, but unfortunately, doctors
told him he was too heavy to donate. He had to lose 60 lbs and
he had to do it fast. At close to 300 lbs, Rob had always wanted
to lose weight, had tried many, many times in the past to do it
but never could. This time, because his daughter’s life was at
stake, he was able to lose 100 lbs in 6 months.

How to Say Good-Bye To Laziness For Good And Achieve Even Your Top-Tier Goals
Rob has two
students in his class with amazing talents. One is a world-class
jiu-jitsu athlete. The other has currently memorized 20,000
digits of pi and is going for the world record. He brought both
of them to the front of the class one day and asked them to
write on the board how many hours a week they train for their
specific goals. Without looking at each other’s answers, one
wrote 27, the other 33.Rob says there’s a 20-hour rule in life and these two

The Power of Resetting Your Brain
and How to Do It
One of Rob’s
students has a goal to break the world record for reciting digits of pi.
He currently has it memorized to 20,000 digits, so to help him practice,
Rob set up cameras and had judges scrolling through the numbers as the
guy recited them one day. It was four hours of listening to nothing but
numbers, and Rob describes it as one of those moments in life where your
brain just resets and you realize the amazing things you can do when you
stop underestimating yourself – and the challenging things you can
accomplish. And in this audio, you’ll hear how to take that power and
make it work in your own life.

The One Book That Resets the Brain
and Shows the Truth About Obstacles
Jean Dominique
Bauby was a very rich editor of a French magazine who seemed to have it
all in life – money, cars, vacations... Then, one day, he suffered a
devastating stroke that caused a condition known as “locked-in
syndrome,” when people can no longer move their bodies but their minds
are perfectly fine.
After a nurse
discovered Jean was trying to communicate with her by blinking, they
developed a way to communicate with each other, blinking through the
alphabet.
Amazingly, Jean was
able to write a book by blinking his way through it. And in this audio,
you’ll hear why Rob carries that book around with him and why he says
you should too.
You’ll Also Hear…
Why you won’t believe what went into
writing this book -- how many blinks it took to write it, how long

You can accomplish anything in life, through almost any obstacle if you
put your mind to it. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about a man and
a book that prove it.
59. The Power of Habits
and How to Use Them for Success
Back in the 70s,
Rob had a friend who wanted to be a pro-football player. But when the
guy started hanging around actual pro-football players, he realized they
were bench-pressing 400 lbs while he was bench-pressing 200. They were
working out five hours a day, and he was only working out two.
So he forced
himself to develop new habits, and he became a pro. The habits we do
every day will make us a success or a failure. And in this audio, you’ll

it has to change your life.

One of the ways the brain resets is
when you realize you have more potential than you think and you start
saying things to yourself like, “I’m just going to go for it.”
But if you don’t change your habits
after this reset, it won’t make much difference. And in this audio,
you’ll hear how to make the power of habits work for you.
The college admissions
process can be stressful and confusing. How do you know which college to
pick? How do you make yourself stand out so you’re selected? Getting
accepted to the right colleges has almost become a status symbol with
most parents and students more worried about what others will think and
say about their choices than what is actually right for them.
So in this audio, you’ll
hear how to take a step back and look at the selection process from the
angles that are right for you.

61.What To Do If The College You Want…
Doesn’t Want You
Maybe you’ve dreamed about a certain
college since you were little. You’ve prepped for it, received all the
“right scores” and grades. You’ve worked your butt off and you know
you’re going to get in… but you get the letter and you didn’t. It’s
hard. It’s anticlimactic, but it has nothing to do with your worth or
your future. Truth is, you can achieve anywhere. It’s not where you go
that matters; it’s what you do once you get there.
And
in this audio, you’ll hear all about going down that second-choice path,
which is actually the path you were meant to go down, along with how to
make the most of it and find your passion along the way.

future. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about making the most of that
second choice.
62.The Kind Of Research That Works
For Choosing The Best College For You

can go beyond just looking up which ones will have your major. There are
best colleges for everything – finding a soul mate, the prettiest
campuses, or the ones where 90% of students graduate in four years.
There are the snowiest colleges or the ones that produce the most
successful entrepreneurs. And in this audio, you’ll hear the kinds of
research Rob did, examples of how to do it yourself, and how to use
research to choose your college.

No matter what college you end up choosing, it isn’t the end of the
world if you decide later on that you hate it. You can always do more
research and transfer. And in this audio, you’ll hear how the research
process begins.
Rob says, once you get to college, you
should start looking for ways to differentiate yourself there,
not only for your future resume but to help you find what you
love in life. And one of the best ways to do that is by studying
abroad. But for a lot of Americans, this can be a new and scary
concept.

a short time, is fun and it looks great on a resume. But it can
be an intimidating concept. So in this audio, you’ll hear a
quick-start guide that will walk you through the process.
64.The Little-Known Study Abroad Program
That Could Change Your Life
Even though Rob has spent his entire adult
life on college campuses, he says he only has one regret about
it. He’s never participated in Semester at Sea. Semester at Sea
is a program that takes the concept of study abroad and adds a
cruise ship to it. With more than 100 days at sea where you
travel and learn about more than 15 cities, it’s a huge
opportunity to experience many different cultures at once. There
are opportunities to work for Habitat for Humanity and
orphanages. You can stay at home stays in some cities for a full
immersion experience or take field trips.
And although the price tag sounds steep,
Rob says there are always ways around this for anyone determined
to do it. And in this audio, you’ll hear all about this amazing
program and the steps you can take to see if it will work for
you.

the ability to do anything you want in life, if you’re eager to

instrument faster.

The Four Essential Things You Must
Get Out Of College
Life is pretty competitive. You
compete for a spot in college, to get a job once you
graduate, to buy a house, to find a girlfriend or
boyfriend – the list goes on and on. And it can seem
pretty overwhelming and impossible to succeed at times.
But you’ll be giving yourself the best chance for
success in all areas of life if you get these four
things down while you’re in college. And in this audio,

A little-known fact: The
quickest way to research something isn’t with the

In life, 98 percent of us need “a boss” to check in on
us to make sure we’re doing what we need to be doing
when we need to be doing it. Learn to be one of the two
percent that doesn’t need that, and it will set you
apart. And in this audio, you’ll hear the four essential
things to get from college that will help you do that.
While it’s true there is no best college (only the college that’s best
for you), there are some things to keep in mind when you’re looking at
colleges that will help guide you along the way.
College is a business, and each type of college is run in a different
way. From military schools and all-women’s colleges to the larger state

68. Intern Secrets For Landing A Job Before Graduation
When it comes to internships, Rob says most people settle for scraps.
They take the first job that comes along and is close to home. But
that’s not the point of an internship. Internships should be at places
you think you might want to work at after college. They should stretch
you out of your comfort zone and make you know for sure if you’re in the
field that’s right for you. And, even though most won’t pay anything,
you should work your hardest and look at it like a 14-week interview. If
you do, you could have a dream job straight out of college.
And in this audio, you’ll hear everything you need to make that happen.

opportunities and how to turn them into a career.

70. The Number One Skill That Will
Make You Rich and Famous
When the explorers
set out to discover uncharted land, they didn’t know what to
expect. They knew they’d come across difficulties, but they were
excited by those difficulties and the possibilities that came
with them. And as a result, the explorers became rich and
famous. Then, the pioneers came in and started developing the
land. They, too, became rich from developing. But once
everything was all mapped, paved, and easy, the settlers
arrived. No one remembers the settlers. They didn’t do anything
but settle.
Settling for the
easy in life is never the road to wealth and fame. Be the

difficulties that come up along the way. And in this audio,

It’s Never Too Late to Excel
Nola Ochs was a
farmer in Kansas who took classes at her local college here and
there after her husband died in 1972. But in 2006, when she
realized she was only 30 hours away from getting her bachelor’s,
she moved closer to the university and earned it in 2007, and a
spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest person
to achieve that honor. She was 95. But she didn’t stop there.
And in this audio, you’ll hear all about her amazing story that
shows it’s never too late to go for a dream and achieve it.

When most people
think about college, they think about getting a degree and a
good job after graduation. But Rob says the most important thing
to take with you after college is a love of learning and the
knowledge of what your passion is. College is where you’ll
discover things like maybe you don’t actually want to be a
doctor like both your parents. Maybe you want to be a P.E. coach
or a biologist. And in this audio, you’ll hear why this process
is so important, and how college helps you figure it all out.

The Shortcut Through College Not Enough People Take
College is like a
road. And there are many people who have been down the road, who
live on the road, or know the road better than you know your own
self. And they’re usually willing to help you along the way, but
you have to want their help. You have to allow yourself to be
coachable.
And in this audio,
you’ll hear what that means and how to take advantage of the
resources available to you so your road through college is the
easiest and best experience it can be.

easier. But you have to be open to receiving the help and know
where to look to find them. And in this audio, you’ll hear all
about it so you can be one of the few people who takes advantage
of this shortcut too.
A long time ago, a family took a
cruise ship to the United States. They’d scraped up just
enough for passage, so they brought peanut butter and
crackers to eat along the way in their room. But one
day, the youngest son snuck out of the cabin and was
welcomed at the buffet with mountains of delicious hot
entrees and desserts. He asked if he had to pay and was
surprised when the worker said, “If you’ve bought a
ticket on this ship, all the food is included.” He
excitedly went back and told his family. They didn’t
believe him and forced him to eat crackers in the room
because they were worried they’d get kicked off.
There is a smorgasbord of
opportunities all around you on a college campus that
you’re already paying for with your tuition, but most
kids don’t take advantage of any of them. And in this
audio, you’ll hear all about this biggest mistake, and
how to make sure you don’t miss out.

resources along the way. And in this audio, you’ll hear
how to take advantage of the smorgasbord of
opportunities around you, and make the most of your

Muhammad Ali once said he hated
every minute of his training. But he told himself not to
quit. “Suffer now and you can live the rest of your life

times. You’re not going to like every class or every
instructor, but once you’re done, you’ll have a degree
that no one can take from you.
But you don’t have to do it alone.

The Most Important Thing To Get From This Course
Very few people know what they want
to do for the rest of their lives when they step onto a
college campus for the first time. And many kids have a
hard time picking a major or worry that they’ll hate the
major they’ve already chosen.
If that’s you, here’s what you can
do about it: Just throw yourself into it and keep moving
forward in the direction you feel is right at the time.
You’re not going to like every course. You’re not
supposed to. But there will be times when you find
yourself saying, “I love this. I was meant to work with
autistic kids or on political campaigns…” And that’s
what college is about. It’s about trying things and
finding the direction that will be your calling and your
career. You may have to kiss a lot of frogs to notice
when a prince comes around, but it will happen.
And in this audio, you’ll hear the
difference between “having a job” and “having a career
and a calling,” and how to use college to figure it all
out and jumpstart your life.

be looking for instead, and how to use it to become

A little-known fact: The person
who gets the job isn’t the person who knows the most
about the job. It’s the person who knows the most
about getting jobs – here’s what that means and how
to make it work in your life
Exactly

things that happen to you in life are the worst
things – and examples to prove it

Rob says college is
fun, but it’s serious fun, meaning you’re going to have
the time of your life but it should also mean something.
The good news is the choice is yours. And in this audio,
you’ll hear how to go from not knowing what major to
pick to being confident you’re on the right path and
headed to a career and calling that’s right for you.

Dr. Rob Gilbert is the

he wants to coach you to MASTER THE LEARNING GAME.
And he doesn’t want you to just graduate – he wants you to
graduate summa cum laude – with highest honors! All you have to
do is to listen to and then follow his simple but powerful
pieces of advice. Can YOU do this??? Of course you can!!!
